The idea to build an innovation- and networking center somewhere in the Engadin valley was a major part of the original mia Engiadina development concept for the region. Mia Engiadina has now succeeded not only in winning La Punt as possible location and securing financing for the project but also in engaging the world class architect Norman Forster for realization.

The InnHub La Punt – acronym for the Hub at the river Inn as well as for innovation hub – will be an inspiring place where companies, project groups, students and locals can work on their projects any period between 3 days to 3 months. The hub will also incorporate spaces for local tradesmen and tradeswoman, local farmers, artisans, craftsmen/craftswoman and young local people who want to realize their ideas. All this comes in an inspiring environment with world class architecture surrounded by a unique landscape und backed with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Realization and final service design will combine work with sports, health, education and tourist offerings. Companies like Microsoft, On, the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz or Alpine Yoga already signaled interests in becoming part of the InnHub community.

The project is broadly supported by various stakeholders and institutions. Among others the municipality of La Punt, the Economic Development and Tourist Agency of the Canton Grisons, the region Maloja, second homes owners, the University of St. Gallen and various individuals provided content and financial support.
